Who Am I? Elaina Hirsch is the Research Study Coordinator for the Methods of Optimal Depression Detection in Parkinsons Disease (MOOD-PD) study headed by Dr. Laura Marsh, and funded by the National Institutes of Health. She works with several neurologists in private practice to recruit and coordinate visits for patients with Parkinsons Disease who are interested in participating, screens and interviews participants, and manages the day-to-day operations for the study. Elaina also conducts cognitive and neuropsychological assessments for other studies through the NIH-funded Morris K. Udall Parkinsons Disease Research Center (PDRC) at Johns Hopkins. Elaina graduated from Cornell University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, and has completed some Master's-level coursework in Clinical Psychology.
